The IJPMC works to promote the conservation of mahseer species across their range by partnering with like-minded individuals and groups in a scientifically accurate, culturally sensitive manner.
By applying the best scientific practices and in-field research, the IJPMC is constantly forwarding the scientific body of knowledge regarding Tor and Neolissochilus species.
Mahseer conservation benefits the riverine ecosystems and human populations that depend on them. Community-based conservation efforts, including catch and release angling programs, can serve as meaningful economic drivers.
